You need to find the surface area of the circle (at the end of the cylinder) and multiply it by the length of the cylinder.
area of a circle = pi times radius squared
a = 3.14 x (1")squared = 3.14" squared
volume = area x length
v = 3.14 x (18' x 12" per foot) = 3.14 x 216 = 678.24 cubic inches
