Divide the surface area by 6; then take the square root.

A cube has a surface area of 1014 cm^2
.

  Surface Area = 6s^2

    6s^2 = 1014cm^2 

     s^2 =  169cm^2

        s = 13cm           (disregarding negative solution for length)
