A tank measuring 15 cm by 24cm by 28cm was 3/4 filled with water.
15 * 24 * 28 = 10080 * = 7560 cu/cm of water in the container
when 45% of the water from the tank was poured in to an empty container, the container became 2/5 full.
.45(7560) = 3402 cu/cm pours into an empty container
.55(7560) = 4158 cu/cm remain
See if that is 2/5 full
= .4125 ~ .4 or about 2/5 full

.

The tank volume is 15*24*28 = 10080 cm^3.

The volume of water in the tank originally was = 7560 cm^3.

45% of it is 0.45*7560 = 3402 cm^3.

It is the volume of water poured from the tank into the empty container.

It is the ANSWER : 3402 cm^3 of water poured from the tank into the empty container.

Solved.
