Question 113278: I am not certain if this is a volume problem but I would really appreciate some help.
A rectangular solid has a base with length of 6cm and width of 5 cm. If the volume of the solid is 300 cm to the third, I need to find the height of the solid.
Is it 9cm?
10cm
11 cm or
12 cm.
How do I go about solving this problem. I know that the volume of a retangular solid is V=LWH
Thank you very much.

Answer by anne(47)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Base Length = 6cm
Width = 5cm
The formula for the volume is L^W^H
We got the length and the width and need the height.
L^W= 6^5=30cm
and 30^10cm = 300cm
The height of the solid is 10cm.
