Question 1078462: You are digging a hole for a circular swimming pool that is 20 feet in diameter and 38.3 inches deep. How many cubic feet of dirt will have to be removed?

my work:
v= 3.14xr^2h
V= 3.14x10^2*3.19
V=1001.66 inches /12 feet in an inch = 83.47 feet cubed

3.14*100*3.19=1001.66 ft^3.
the units are 10ft*10ft*3.19 ft, which are ft^3.
If you did this in inches, it would be 3.14*120*120*38.3/1728, where 1728 is inches^3 in ft^3. That way gives 1002.18 ft^3, which is more accurate, since it uses 38.3 and not 3.19, which is rounded.
