The way this is set up, at first I thought I would just need to assemble the spheres and do a simple volume formula. However, it has been dismantled for a reason. That is the part of the formula I do not understand.

It's a sphere of radius 4 feet, plus a cylinder with 4 = 4 ft and h = 12 ft.

Vol = 4pi*4^3/3 + pi*4^2*12
= 256pi/3 + 192pi cu ft.
