Question 1052408: A petrol can holds 5.5 litres when full. how much petrol can fit in it when it is 0.75 full?
Answer by Edwin McCravy(20065)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

5.5×0.75 = 4.125 liters is how much it contains now.

So it will still hold 5.5-4.125 = 1.375 liters more.

That is the same as 1 3/8ths liters more.
