Question 1040060: A) Find the cross section of this shape.
B) Find the volume of this shape.
The shape is a 3d H (i dont know what to call this)
So the two bottome legs of the H are 3cm and them the little line that connect the two is 2cm (sorry if doesnt make sense) and the same on the top side of the face of the H.
Now the length is 3cm with a height of 7cm.
and theres a 5cm on the top legs of the H but its expanded out so its kinda like the base.
ok i know this probably doesnt make any sense but if you could help me or guide me to a website that might help me i would appreciate it!
Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Divide your shape into pieces of shapes for which you know the volume formula. Calculate the volume of each piece and then add all of them together.
Can't help you with the other part because, aside from your description being very difficult to visualize, you don't specify the plane that is creating the cross-section.
Scan or otherwise obtain a graphic of your object and then post it to any of a number of image sharing services. Then repost your question here with a link to your image.
