Two cylinder a and b whose radius of base are in ratio 3:2 and height a is in the ratio of n:1
if volume of cylinder a is three times the volume of cylinder b then find the value of n
:
let 3 = radius of Cylinder a; & 2 = radius of b
and
n = height of a; and 1 = height of b
:
Va = 3Vb
=
divide both sides by pi
9n = 3*4*1
9n = 12
n = 12/9
n = 1 is the height of a

You can confirm this for yourself, replace n with 4/3 in the equation, see if equality reigns.
