The cylinder will then be filled with packing material. If the cone occupies 60cm cubed of space, how many cubic centimeters of packing material will be needed?
I have used the following formulas to try and figure this out.
cylinder- 3.14*r^2*h
cone- 1/3*3.14*r^2*h H= 60 D=60 R=30

60 cc is the volume, not the height.

Vol of cone =
Vol of the cylinder is 3 times that of the cone --> 180 cc
Space to be filled is 180 - 60 = 120 cc.
