this is one of the problems
1.(9x3-4+x2+8)-(7x3-3x+7)
The x's in in the first equation is x to the qubed and x squared, on the second equation 7x, that suppose to be qubed too.

1.(9x^3 - 4 + x^2 + 8)-(7x^3 - 3x + 7)
Remove the brackets
Remember, if there is a neg outside the brackets you change the signs
9x^3 - 4 + x^2 + 8 - 7x^3 + 3x - 7
Group like terms
9x^3 - 7x^3 + x^2 + 3x - 4 + 8 - 7
results
2x^3 + x^2 + 3x - 3
