Question 611964: I can't remember anything from high school trig. I'm trying to find alpha.
tan(alpha)=tan(gamma)sin(beta)
tan(alpha)=tan(85º)sin(25º)
the book gives me the answer but I cannot figure out how to get the answer:
tan(alpha)=(0.1788701724)(-0.1323517501)
tan(alpha)=-0.0236737804
the book gives the answer as alpha = 78º

Question 611857: Hello
Could you please help me with this. And this is going to be word for word, ok
In this problem you will determine the equation of a sin function.
And the following is all of the info you will have on the function.
Amplitude is 3
period is 6. (note the period is not 6π )
phase shift is 2 (again no mention of π)
and graph 2 periods of the function.
Thank for your efforts

Question 611729: I have to solve the following using trigonometric identities:
1-cos^2(x)*1-tan^2(x)=sin^2(x)-2sin^4(x)/ 1-sin^2(x)
Using the trigonometric identities, I have to prove that it is one, preferably using the left-hand side.
I would appreciate any help that is given.
Thanks!
