Question 65236: I'm having trouble sloving a problem that uses cardinal directions as a part of the problem.
You wish to find a distance across a swamp.The bearing from A to B is N 32 degrees W. You walk 50 meters from A, and at the point C the bearing to B is N 68 degrees W. Find the bearing from A to C and the distance from a to B. Thanks

Question 66295: The "x's" are actually thetas but for simplicity sake I am going to use "x" instead
tan^2x - sin^2x - tan ^2xsin^2x
I tried to replace the tan^2x's with (sin^2x)/(cos^2x) but I didn't know where to go from there.. or if that even works.
