Question 995038: Find cosθ and sinθ, given that tanθ=3, and 180° < θ < 270°
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find cosθ and sinθ, given that tanθ=3, and 180° < θ < 270°
----
Note:: t is in QII where x is negative and y is negative
----
By definition tan = y/x = 3/1
Therefore y = -3 and x = -1
-------
r = sqrt[3^2+1^2] = sqrt(10)
-------
cos = x/r = -1/sqrt(10)
sin = y/r = -3/sqrt(10)
----------
