Question 985044: Two straight roads intersect at a point P and make an angle of 42.6 degrees there. At a point R on one road is a building that is 368 m from P and at a point S on the other road is a building that is 426 m from P. Determine the direct distance from R to S.

Angle RPS or angle SPR has the measure 42.6 degrees. Segment PR has measure 368 meters, and segment PS has measure 426 meters. Law Of Cosines will give you side length for segment RS, the direct distance. Two segments with a common end point and known angle between the two.
Solve for or evaluate RS.
