Okay so this is what I did, correct me if I am wrong
f(x)= ((x^2-2)+h)-x^2-2/h can someone help me with the rest?

Sub x+h for x
f(x+h) = (x+h)^2 - 2
= x^2 + 2hx + h^2 - 2

f(x+h)-f(x)/h =
=
= 2x
