Find the equation of the line tangent to the following curve at x = 1. Write your answer in y = mx + b format. Show supporting work
y = 3x^2 + 6x – 5
y' = 6x + 6
m = 6 + 6 = 12
----
y @ x = 1: 3 + 6 - 5 = 4
--------------
m = 12 thru the point (1,4)
y-4 = 12(x-1) = 12x - 12
y = 12x - 8
