-3x - 6 < 5x + 7 {used distributive property}
-8x < 13 {subtracted 5x and added 6 to each side}
x > -13/8 {divided each side by -8 and changed the inequality sign since dividing by a negative}

Add 3x to both sides::
Subtract 7 from both sides::
