How do I figure out the value for x if I know that sin x = 0.436491673 and the sin x = -0.4364916731?
------------------
You want "the angle whose sine is 0,436491673..."
That is the arcsin or inverse sine.
If you have a calculator it looks like sin^-1
sin^-1(0,436491673....) = 25.88... degrees
sin^-1(-0,436491673...) = -25.88...degrees
