In which intervals between 0 and 2pi are the sine, cosine and tangents functions all negative?
In quadrant I, all 3 functions >0
In quadrant II, sin>0, cos<0, tan<0
In quadrant III, sin<0, cos<0, tan>0
In quadrant IV, sin<0, cos>0, tan<0
note:
Top half of unit circle, sin>0
Bottom half, sin<0
Right half of unit circle, cos>0
Left half, cos<0
When sin and cos have the same sign, tan>0
When sin and cos have opposite signs, tan<0
All 3 functions are never all negative in any of the quadrants
