Question 932373: An object is propelled upward from a height of 48 feet at an initial velocity of 64 feet per second. Where the height is in feet. After how many seconds will be the object reach a height of 112 feet
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
An object is propelled upward from a height of 48 feet at an initial velocity of 64 feet per second. Where the height is in feet. After how many seconds will be the object reach a height of 112 feet
-----------
Height Formula::
h(t) = -16t^2 + vo(t) + s(o)
-----
Your Problem:
112 = -16t^2 + 64t + 48
------
16t^2 - 64t + 64 = 0
----
t^2 - 4t + 4 = 0
----
(t-2)^2 = 0
t = 2 seconds
------
