Question 917955: What are the trigonometric functions if tan t= (-15/8). cos t>0
Answer by lwsshak3(11628) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
What are the trigonometric functions if tan t= (-15/8). cos t>0
Reference angle t is in quadrant IV in which cos>0, tan<0, sin<0
tan(t)=(-15/8)
hypotenuse of reference right triangle in quadrant IV=√(15^2+8^2)=√(225+64)=√289=17
sin(t)=-15/17
cos(t)=8/17
cot(t)=-8/15
csc(t)=-17/15
sec(t)=17/8
