Question 886508: Verify:
cos(x) / 1+sin(x) = sec(x) - tan(x)

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Verify:
cos(x) / 1+sin(x) = sec(x) - tan(x)
-----
cos/(1+sin) = (1/cos) - (sin/cos)
------
cos/(1+sin) = (1-sin)/cos
-----
Cross-multiply to get:
cos^2 = (1+sin)(1-sin)
cos^2 = 1-sin^2
----
Ans: cos^2 = cos^2
