Question 872264: How do I do I find sec 0, in terms of cot 0?
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
find sec 0, in terms of cot 0?
-------
Since sin^2 + cos^2 = 1,
dividing by cos^2 you get:
tan^2 + 1 = sec^2
----
So, sec = sqrt[tan^2+1]
---
Then, sec = sqrt[(1/cot)^2 + 1]
----
sec = sqrt[(1+cot^2)/cot^2]
---
sec = sqrt(1+cot^2)/cot
