How to find the value of θ in standard position and the corresponding reference angle of this given statement?
sin θ= -1/2 and cos θ > 0
-----
sin is negative in QIII and QIV
cos is positive in QI and QIV
------
So theta is in QIV.
----
The reference angle for sin = 1/2 is 30 degrees
-----
Therefore theta = 360-30 = 330 degrees.
