if tan(beta) is undefined and sin(beta)<0, then beta is? the answer is 270 degrees i am not sure what formula to use.
-------
I don't think they want you to use a formula.
They are testing your knowledge of the function values.
-----
Since tan = y/x, tan is undefined when x is zero.
That occurs when b is 90 or b is 270.
----
Sin is negative in QIII and QIV.
So the answer is 270
