A kite string makes a 62 degree angle with the horizontal, and 300 ft of the string is let out. The string is held 6ft off the ground. How high is the kite?
let the vertical height of kite from where it is held be x
string = 300 ft
angle = 62 degrees
sin 62 = x/300
x= 300 *sin 62 degrees
x=264.9 feet
add 6 to it
270.9 feet is the height of kite from ground
