Question 867096: Please help with the following:
Given that cosθ=-(3/4) and θ is in the third quadrant, find sinθ and tanθ exact value no decimal. Include a diagram.
How would I go about solving this? I got as far as a point on the graph being (3,4), but I could be wrong there as well.
Thanks!

Given that cos θ=-(3/4) and θ is in the third quadrant, find sinθ and tanθ exact value no decimal.
sin θ=-√(1-cos^2 θ)=-√(1-(9/16))=-√(7/16)=-√7/4
tan θ=sin θ/cos θ=√7/3
