Find the polar coordinates of the point whose rectangular coordinates are (4sqrt3, -4). When I tried this problem, I got (8, 11pi/6).
r = sqrt[(4sqrt(3))^2 + 4^2] = sqrt[64] = 8
----
t = arctan(-4/(4sqrt(3)) = arctan(-1/sqrt(3) = 11pi/6 because
(4sqrt(3,-4) is in QIV.
