Question 860116: if cos 8 alpha = sin alpha and 8 alpha < 90 degree then the value of tan 6 alpha is
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
if cos (8a) = sin(a) and 8a < 90 degree
then the value of tan(6a) is ?
===================================
cos(8a) = sin((pi/2)-a) = sin(a)
So, (pi/2)-a = a
2a = pi/2
a = pi/4
------------------
tan(6a) = tan(6(pi/4)) = tan(3/2)pi) is undefined
----------------------------------------------------
