Question 852891: Convert to degree measure:
(a)pi/2
(b)-7pi/4
Please I need help! Thanks!
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(a)pi/2
Multiply by 180/pi to get
(pi/2)*(180/pi)
(pi*180)/(2*pi)
180/2 ... the 'pi' terms cancel
90
So pi/2 radians = 90 degrees
---------------------------------------------------------------------
(b)-7pi/4
Multiply by 180/pi to get
(-7pi/4)*(180/pi)
(-7pi*180)/(4*pi)
(-7*180)/4 ... the 'pi' terms cancel
-1260/4
-315
So -7pi/4 radians = -315 degrees
