Question 851364: Please help me simplify this expression either to 1, -1, or a single trigonometric function: cot(a)sec(a)/csc(a). I tried to simplify cot(a) to sin(a)/cos(a), sec(a) to 1/cos(a), and csc(a) to 1/sin(a) and got 1/cosa^2. I'm not sure if I did this correctly or not? Thanks.

Please help me simplify this expression either to 1, -1, or a single trigonometric function:
cot(a)sec(a)/csc(a)
---------------
[cos/sin](1/cos]/[1/sin]
----------------
= [1/sin]/[1/sin]
=========
= 1
