Answer by rothauserc(4718)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
sec(x) = 1 / cos(x) = 1 / 0.4 = 2.5
tan^2(x) + 1 = sec^2(x)
tan^2(x) = sec^2(x) - 1 = 2.5^2 - 1 = 5.25
tan(x) = sqrt(5.25) = 2.29

PRESS tan
PRESS 2nd
PRESS cos
PRESS 0.4
PRESS ))

you should see tan(cos-1(0.4))

PRESS ENTER
