Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
find all solutions in interval [0,2pi] to equation
2cos(x-pi/2)=1
cos(x-(pi/2)) = 1/2
-------------
cos is positive in the 1st the 4th Quadrants
If cos(?) = 1/2, ? = pi/3 degrees or -pi/3 degrees
----------
So x-(pi/2) = pi/3
x= pi/2++pi/3 = (5/6)pi
OR x-(pi/2) = -pi/3
x = (pi/2)-(pi/3
x = (1/6)pi
