A flag pole and its shadow form the sides of a right triangle. If the hypotenuse is 52 m long and the shadow is 48 m, how tall is the flag pole?

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

x^2 + 48^2 = 52^2

x^2 + 2304 = 2704

x^2 = 2704 - 2304

x^2 = 400

x = sqrt(400)

x = 20

The pole is 20 meters tall.
