How do I find tan θ if sec θ = square root of twenty six divided by five and sin θ < 0?
-----
Under those conditions theta must be in QIV where x > 0 and y < 0.
------
Since sec = r/x, r = sqrt(26) and x = 5
----
Then y = -sqrt(26-25) = -1
-------
Ans: tan(t) = y/x = -1/5
