How do you solve problems like
arcsin(sin (pi/6))
Ans: pi/6 because arcsin and sin are inverse functions.
or
cos(arctan (-radical 3))
Find the angle whose tangent is -sqrt(3)
That angle is -60 degrees.
Find the cosine of -60 degrees
Ans: cos(-60) = cos(60) = 1/2
