Question 808478: Fonda all solutions of the equation sec(pi/4)x=-rad2
I tried isolating x and I got -1 as the answer but the real answer is 3+8n.

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
sec[(pi/4)x] = -sqrt(2)
-------
cos((pi/4)x] = -1/sqrt(2)
------
The angle is in QII or in QIII
-------------------
(pi/4)x = (3/4)pi or (5/4)pi
-----
x = 3 or x = 5
