Use an identity to find the exact value of the expression sin(pi/4 + pi/6)
Identity:sin(s+t)=sin s cost+cos s sin t
sin(π/4+π/6)
=sin(π/4)cos(π/6)+cos(π/4)sin(π/6)
=(√2/2*√3/2)+(√2/2*1/2)
=√6/4+√2/4
=(√6+√2)/4
Check:
sin(π/4+π/6)=sin(5π/12)≈0.9659
exact value=(√6+√2)/4≈0.9659
