Question 797184: A rope is being wound around a drum with radius of 0.8725 ft. What is the length of rope that will be wound around the drum if the drum is rotated through an angle of 39.72 degrees?
Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Angle/360 = length of arc/Pi * diameter
39.72/360 = length of arc/ Pi * 1.745
Length of arc = (39.72*Pi*1.745)/ 360
Length of arc = 0.61 feet (2 decimal places)
Length of rope wound round drum = 0.61 feet.
Hope this helps.
