Question 789478: 1/sec^2 40 + 1/csc^2 40

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/sec^2 40 + 1/csc^2 40
----------------
= (csc^2(40) + sec^2(40))/(sec^2(40)*csc^2(40))
-----
= csc^2(40) + sec^2(40)
-----
= (1/sin^2(40)) + (1/cos^2(40))
-----
= 1/(sin^2(40)cos^2(40))
-----
= 1/0.2425 = 4.1244
