I honestly don't know how to get this answer. The answer in the back of the book gives x^2+(y-3)^2=9. The book doesn't nor the online videos that come with the book have any examples of this type of problem.

Write the equation of the circle in which the endpoints of its diameter are A(0,0) and B(0,6)

Standard form of equation for a circle: , (h,k)=(x,y) coordinates of center, r=radius
coordinates of center=coordinates of mid point of given end-points A and B
Use midpoint formula:
((0+0)/2),(6+0)/2=(0,3)
radius=distance between center and either one of given end-points, say, A
Use distance formula:
r=√(0-0)^2+(0-3)^2)=√9=3
