The general equation of the line when co-ordinates of two points are given is
12y- 156 = -18 x -144
12 y= -18 x+ 12
/ 12
y= (-3/ 2) x+ 1

Replace x and y to form two slope/intercept equations:
8m + b = -13
-4m + b = 5
-------------subtraction eliminates b, find m

-4(-1.5) + b = 5
+6 + b = 5
b = 5 - 6
b = -1
