Question 778052: State whether it is possible for sec(theta)=0.5
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
sec(theta) = 0.5
1/cos(theta) = 0.5
1 = 0.5*cos(theta)
1/0.5 = cos(theta)
2 = cos(theta)
cos(theta) = 2
This is NOT possible since the range of cosine is from -1 to 1
So sec(theta) = 0.5 is NOT possible.
