Sin is opposite over hypotenuse. Call the opposite side 6 and the hyp 10.


cos is adjacent over tangent. If you know Pythagorean triples you know the adjacent side has to be 8. Otherwise use the Pythagorean theorem: where a and b are the legs and c is hypotenuse.





tan = sin/cos = opp/adj = 6/8 = 3/4 = .75
