Please help my figure this out. Find tan θ if sec θ =(sqrt 26)/5 and sin θ < 0
***
sec θ=√26/5
cos θ=5/√26
sin θ<0
This means reference angle is in Quadrant IV where sin<0 and cos>0
sin θ=-√1-cos^2 θ)=-√(1-25/26)=-√1/26=-1/√26
tan θ=sin θ/cos θ=-1/5

Please help my figure this out. Find tan θ if sec θ =(sqrt 26)/5 and sin θ < 0
----------
sec^2 = tan^2 + 1
tan^2 = 26/25 - 1 = 1/25
|tan| = 1/5
-----
sin<0 --> Q3 or Q4
cos>0 --> Q1 or Q4
--> Q4
--> tan = -1/5
