Question 754443: What do I put into my calculator to solve for y and x?
sin x= 11/? (unknown)
cos x= 6/? (unknown)
tan x= 11/6
sin y= 6/? (unknown)
cos y= 11/? (unknown)
tan y= 6/11
^ Those are the equations that I already figured out using a formula that my teacher provided me. I don't know what to put into my calculator. I could really use some help! Thanks in advance!

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
sin x= 11/? (unknown)
cos x= 6/? (unknown)
tan x= 11/6
----------------------
Since tan = y/x = 11/6, y = 11 and x = 6
Solve for "r":
r = sqrt[11^2 + 6^2]
r = sqrt[157)
---
Sin(x) = 11/sqrt(157)
cos(x) = 6/sqrt(157)
===============================
sin y= 6/? (unknown)
cos y= 11/? (unknown)
tan y= 6/11
r = sqrt(157)
sin(y) = 6/sqrt(157)
cos(y) = 11/sqrt(157)
