After getting the question wrong on my practice test I was able to see that the answer was 2.3 How is this answer possible? I got 1726.

An airplane traveling at 225 mph is descending at an angle of 5 degrees. How many miles will the plane decrease in altitude in 7 minutes?

Vertical speed = 225*sin(5) = 19.61 mi/hr
change = 19.61 mi/hr * (1/60) hr/min * 7 min
=~ 2.2878 miles
