Question 72951: Hi i need help on my math problem, thanks for your help
A snowball is thrown into the air and its path can be modeled by the equation y=-x^2+6x+7 where y represents the verical height in feet and x represents the horizontal distance in feet
(a) Factor the equation above into two binomials
(b) Use the factors above to determine how far the snowball was thrown
(c) Briefly explain how you can use a graph to check your answers in part b
(d) The ball reaches its highest point after it travels 3 feet horizontally. Use the equation above and show algebraically how to find the height of the ball at this point.

A snowball is thrown into the air and its path can be modeled by the equation y=-x^2+6x+7 where y represents the vertical height in feet and x represents the horizontal distance in feet
(a) Factor the equation above into two binomials
-x^2+6x+7= -(x^2-6x-7)= -(x-7)(x+1)
(b) Use the factors above to determine how far the snowball was thrown
The height is zero when x=7 ft so it is on the ground after traveling 7 ft.
-----------------------
(c) Briefly explain how you can use a graph to check your answers in part b
Graph the equation:

--------------
(d) The ball reaches its highest point after it travels 3 feet horizontally. Use the equation above and show algebraically how to find the height of the ball at this point.
Find f(3) = -3^2+6*3+7
