this one is the last homework problem question...thank again! Found 2 solutions by funmath, tulioalvarenga89:Answer by funmath(2933) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! (x + 1)(x + 1)
We're you supposed to multiply this? You didn't give us the instructions.
If so, multiply the x in the first parentheses time everything in the second, the multiply the 1 in the first parentheses times everything in the second, finally, combine your like terms.
Some people call this FOIL, First terms, Outer terms, Inner terms, Last terms.
Happy Calculating!!!!
You can put this solution on YOUR website! First you factor it.
(x+1)(x+1)= x^2+2x+1
Then you can use the quadratic formula.
a=1
b=2
c=1
-2+-sqrt(2^2-4(1)(1))/2(1)
